Could one play games and still learn mathematics at the same time? BINGO! You can. The year 7s had fun as we learned all about basic operations while playing Bingo and math relay.

They had to think fast on their feet as the bingo numbers weren’t called out but instead were mathematical problems they first needed to solve. They were eager to play and many got into the competitive spirits as they wanted to win a prize. With the Bingo we also played math relay.

The year 7 students were split up into teams and had to try and solve a paper full of mathematical problems, however they were only allowed to do it one person at a time. It was utter chaos as each team was fighting for the winning spot. At the end of the day the students had a lot of fun and they ended up learning math from each other. Text written by Belinda de Beer
