In Mr. John Barker’s Year 7 Foundation English classes, as an introduction to using present continuous tense, students were instructed to draw themselves wearing their perfect outfits.
They were encouraged to go to shopping and clothing websites and find real-life articles of clothing to add to their drawings. They also had to label their examples with the types of clothing, the brand names, and the prices. Their choices depended on their individual styles – I gave my own example of my own fashion icon, Cary Grant, though obviously he was a little too classical for Year 7 – Balenciaga seemed to be more their thing!
Some students were also asked to present their work in front of the class. Well done to those students who were selected for this- your clothing choices were very interesting!
