In order to prepare our senior students (Years 10 – 12) for their university studies, Assumption College English Program offers 4 tracks, namely, Business Administration, Health Science, Communication and Digital Arts, and Engineering and Digital Technology.

The tracks give our students the opportunity to study subjects specific to the tracks, often with university professors, as well as participate in various activities relevant to their future university studies and careers.
On Wednesday, January 26, Mr Marcin Kempka, Deputy Head of Academic Department (Foreign Affairs) and one of the track teachers, invited Ms Sheila Unwin, Director of Curriculum at Aspen University, to talk to the students about what it is like to be a manager and a leader. Ms Unwin is an accomplished leader with many years of experience leading and managing people. She spoke to the students about skills and characteristics a successful leader should have. She also spoke to them about her work, the challenges she faces but also about how rewarding being a leader can be.

It was an amazing opportunity for our students to listen and speak to a real-life leader from one of the top online universities in the United States.
We would like to give special thanks to Ms Sheila Unwin for speaking to our students even though it was already late in the evening in the United States. The information provided by Ms Unwin will certainly give our students a better idea of what management and leadership are all about. The theory they learn in class is important but learning from actual managers and leaders is an experience no book can provide.
Business Administration students will have an opportunity to speak to another leader on February 8 when they meet Mr Tavachai Pongmala, Managing Director of T.P. PACKING LTD., PART.
