Year 1 have made a fantastic start to life here at Assumption College English Program. It has been a busy first week as the students got to know their new school, new teachers and new friends. So much change can be daunting at such a young age but they have adapted fantastically.
In Maths we have been working on number skills and practicing the numbers 1-10. We focused on letter formation and number recognition. The students made number puzzles, practiced making numbers with playdough and played some dice games.
All of these activities are designed to help the students work in pairs or teams, become comfortable in their new class and become confident learning through English.
