The 2021 academic year has come faster than the speed of (sun)light! That’s right! This week is the kickoff to the official start of Year 3 Summer! While some of our students have taken a break from studies, others have chosen to jump back into the fray for more fun and adventure.
Year 3 summer school is broken into three main skills: Resilience, Critical Thinking and Kindness. All of the activities over the summer learning period will emphasize the importance of building upon these skills, as these are fundamental to success in the coming academic year.
Science and technology are also focal points of our summer learning. Thus far, we’ve planned, built and tested balloon propelled aeroplanes. This week we will also be conducting an experiment to model clouds, engineering a water pump and water filter!
