Year 2- Weather wonders
July 10, 2019
In the second Science unit for this test period, Year Two students have been learning all about weather. Students started this unit learning about the types of weather and then spent more time looking deeper into each type of weather and how we can predict weather.
During our lesson on clouds students were able to create their own clouds using cotton wool and paint. Clouds differ in shape, size, position and colour, and these differences are what help us to predict the type of weather that will soon occur. Following this, in our lesson on wind, students were able to experiment with the force and speed of wind during our cotton ball/ping pong battles and wind painting activities.
The students had fun completing this hands-on learning project and we look forward to some more exciting experiments and crafts in our future Science lessons.
