Rocking Out in Year 2 Science

Over the course of their current Science unit the Year 2 children have been learning about rocks, their sizes, types and uses in daily life. This has been done in a hands on way where students went on a rock walk, classify real rocks by color and texture as well as conduct experiments. In these experiments they predict, test, observe and draw conclusions about an idea.
