IELTS Speaking and Listening Mocks Years 10 and Year 11
Monday, February 5, 2018
On Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th February, students from Years 10 and 11 took part in a mock IELTS Speaking exam and on Friday 2nd February the same students also completed a mock IELTS Listening test. The tests were a collaboration between The Bell Language Centre and the English Department and were administered by Bell Director of Studies, Christopher Warren and Head of Content for English, Daniel Cracknell..
As many of our students will be taking the IELTS test, it is vital that they get practice in order to become familiar with the format and timing of the exam. It is also important as a diagnostic tool for IELTS teachers, which they can used to better support our students in preparation for the real exam.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally-recognised academic English exam and is often a prerequisite for entry to many international universities.
During all the mock tests the students conducted themselves very maturely and we are looking forward to a strong set of results.
