Changing Materials in Year 2 Science
September 11, 2018
In Science recently the Year 2 children have been learning how different factors such as force and heat can change materials. If we push, pull, twist, bend or stretch a material, in this case clay, the material will change.
Also if a material is heated or cooled it can change from solid to liquid like ice heated to water.
Research shows that hands on tactile Science lessons make learning experiences more memorable. Furthermore, children can also apply knowledge to their own lives and retain it for longer.
