Friday, August 11, 2017
This morning the Assumption College English Program community joined together to celebrate the very special occasion of the 85th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen and Thai Mothers’ Day.
The ceremony started with a biographical video of the Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit. Following that, students read the biography of Her Majesty in Thai (Pattarakorn Kriengprasert; Class: 7/1), English (Pichayapha Tulayanitikul; Class: 10/2), and Chinese (Sarannich Triamchanchoochai; Class: 6/3).
Then, the Brothers, representatives of the School Board, Thai and foreign teachers, parents, students, and the school’s workers presented “Phan Phoom” to the portrait of Her Majesty and the Royal Anthem was played to the pay homage to the beloved Queen, which was followed by Bro. Dr. Pisutr Vapiso’s tribute speech. Bro. Pisutr then signed a book with the best wishes for the Queen. All attending guests were also invited to the stage to sign the book. We would like to invite all ACEP teachers, parents and students to sign this book with the best birthday wishes for Her Majesty the Queen. The book is located on the stage of the Ave Maria Building, in front of the portrait of Her Majesty.
During the ceremony, a video was also played with students talking about their love for their moms. The audience also watched a short movie, made by our secondary students and teachers about a mother’s love for her child and the child’s love for his mom.
We would like to wish all the ACEP moms a very happy Mother’s Day. We hope that all ACEP Families enjoy the long four-day weekend. ACEP will reopen again on Wednesday, August 16.
