Halloween Celebrations at ACEP

Thursday, October 31 2019

Ghostly greetings, my friends!

It was the crack of dawn at Assumption College English Program and all of the little witches, pumpkins, zombies and monsters had turned up for an exciting special assembly. Led by the foreign staff, the primary students gathered in the Ava Maria building to celebrate the scariest of days, Halloween!

The morning festivities kicked off with the Halloween themed mystery teacher, one of the student’s favourite games. Students listen for clues and take turns guessing which teacher it might be – the students love it! After mystery teacher it was time to dance! Students danced and sang to the famous “Monster Mash” tune, a proper Halloween jingle.

After the dance, it was time for the scariest face competition. Students and teachers competed to see who could scowl, grit their teeth and scream the spookiest! It was blood curdling! Once the scariest face was crowned, it was time for the finale! The dance competition ended the special event with the best dancers from each year group, battling it out in a frightening freestyle!

In the end, the students had a Fang-tastic morning celebrating one of the most popular days of the year. A very special thank you to Ms. Hannah, Ms. Kerri, Mr. Paul, Ms. Kara, Ms. Aimee and all of the teachers who worked hard to prepare this event for the primary students.
