ACEP Academic Days Photography Exhibition Students Awarded
November 28, 2019
Students were awarded for their winning photos in the 2019 ACEP Academic Days Photography Exhibition on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. The students’ photos are being featured in our 4th exhibition in recognition & celebration of the lifelong photographic contributions of our beloved late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The exhibition includes 12 striking image prints from 12 students in the Secondary Photography Club, taught by Mr. Dax Ward. Many of the photos were shot on the ACEP campus and include scenes of architecture, flowers & plants, insects and sports facilities. Other featured photos were taken at different locations in Thailand and one picture was taken in a students’ home country in the mountains of Bhutan.
Two professional photographer judges who have judged all of the returned to judge the photos and award winners. They are Mr. Dennie Cody and Mrs. Dk Khattiya, a husband/wife partner team of professional photographers with over 80 years of combined photography experience. The judges provided feedback to each student on their individual picture, giving constructive criticism on how they can develop their skills and overall vision.
The 1st-3rd place winners were awarded cash scholarship prizes. There were also two Honorable Mention awards given to notable work. All students will receive certificates for their participation in the event.
The unique vision, talent, and photographic skill of these students is on display in this exhibition which will run through December 7, 2019 in the Ave Maria building ground floor. We welcome all who are interested to come and have a look at the work of our photography students who are very passionate about photography and work very hard at developing their skills.
