Monday, July 2, 2018
On Saturday 30th June, Assumption College English Program (ACEP) welcomed our students’ parents to Parent Orientation Meetings. To best ensure that relevant information was presented, separate meetings were conducted for primary and secondary school parents.
The morning session was held between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and was specifically for the parents of primary school students. The afternoon meeting, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., was prepared for the parents of secondary school students. Prior to entering the Multipurpose Hall in the Trinity Building to listen to presentations, all parents registered their attendance with their child’s foreign homeroom teacher and were issued with the 2018 Academic Year book which outlines ACEP’s systems and expectations.
The speakers in the Multipurpose Hall were Bro. Dr. Pisutr Vapiso, Director, Mr. Marcin Kempka, Head of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Siriporn Srisomwong, Assistant Head of Academic Department, Mr. Jay Maxwell, Year 2 Coordinator, Mr. David Baker, Year 4 Cooridnator, and Mr. James Harris, STEM teacher.
The topics that were covered included:
- The school’s policies for the 2017 Academic Year
- School Development
- New Academic Initiatives for the 2017 Academic Year
At the conclusion of the presentations and Q&A sessions, all parents moved to their child’s classroom in the Ave Maria Building (primary parents) or Regina Coeli Building (secondary parents) to meet with Thai and foreign Homeroom teachers and be presented with additional information specific to their child’s daily learning. While in classrooms, parents also nominated class parent representatives (one parent/class).
Sincere thanks to all ACEP parents for your support and interest in your child’s education and for supporting their teachers.
